This slow fashion women's wear collection is inspired by the nostalgia of growing up in an Italian family and the culture of a slow paced lifestyle. The collection embraces the physicality of human nature as it embraces handicraft, texture, and touch. This is created through its elements of weaving, free-hanging, and raw yarns that follow the fluid lines of pasta. The mix of flowing, structured, and oversized silhouettes are inspired by the various types of pasta and the Italian Christmas cookies that are traditionally baked. The fabrication and textures of this collection is heavily influenced by the idea of "breaking the bread" as the crackling represents the weaving, quilting, and heavy woven textiles. There are many stories and memories woven together to create a family's strong roots in Italian culture and this collection tells the narrative woven at the heart of the dinner table.
